James Thomas Raso is an experienced acupuncturist and oriental practitioner based across the Sydney region. He is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association and registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency. Although you may be familiar with his work in Bondi Junction, Newtown, Sydney, Drummoyne and Ramsgate Beach his acupuncture career begun in the Municipal Hospital of Chinese Medicine, Nanjing where James specialised in Bell's Palsy; a health condition causing acute changes to the facial structures by route of the facial nerve. 

 

Through completion of his spiritual and professional journey through the temples and Traditional Chinese Medicine hospitals and universities of Nanjing, he was awarded a double degree of a Bachelor of Health Science/Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine. James comes from a medical science background being holding the Victor Chang Award for excellence in Science and has advanced his academic achievements by conducting unique laboratory research in the field of microbiomics. In 2018 he graduated with a Bachelor of Research Science, and has been granted honorary membership into the Golden Key Society for being in the top 5% of his universities peers.

This diligent and dedicated allied health practitioner continues to develop his skills by attending seminars and conferences, teaching his students, keeping updated with the latest Chinese Medicine Board requirements and research, and most importantly through his full-time interaction with community acupuncture.
